FPSO Applications

Since the mid-1970's the offshore oil and gas industry has been applying different types of Floating Production and Storage Systems (FPSO’s). The design and construction of these types of systems has evolved over the years in response to industry demands. Meanwhile Brück has made name for itself with turnkey constructions of high-pressure rotary components and parts.

If turret moored FPSO's or on- and offloading buoys are required, Brück offers a partnership in the realization of projects, offering our partners the following benefits:

  • Metallurgical expertise
  • In-house laboratory and testing
  • Specialized project management
  • Assembly facility for components
  • Maximum product height 25 meters
  • Weld overlay capacity (hot wire TIG welding)
  • Experience built up in over 50 offshore projects
  • Specialization in forging, ring rolling and bearings
  • State of the art FAT and qualification testing facility
  • Fabrication welding of both piping and structural components
  • Extensive machining capacity of large parts / assemblies (up to weights of 200tons)
  • 60 tons lifting capacity by means of overhead cranes, higher weights possible with mobile cranes

  • EXPERIENCE
Continuous product development and contacts with the leading manafacturers in the process industry and the fields of marine, machine building and power generation, keep Brück in touch with the demands and changes in the different markets and give us the possibility to use innovations and product development in different industries.

Our long history in the FPSO market has made us a leading innovator and specialist in the production of swivelstacks. This means material supply, forging, heat treatment, final machining, assembly and testing are all performed inhouse by our highly skilled staff. If necessary, we can assist you with the installation of the swivelstack on sight.

    PHYLOSOPHY
Brück believes in doing business based on an 'open policy'. We seek to establish and maintain partnerships based upon this guiding principle. In today's rapidly evolving industry business policy is, however, not the only important feature of a company. Brück rapidly acknowledged that standing still in terms of capacity and technology was in fact going backwards.

As a result, Brück reinforced its existing lead in heavy machining capacity, acquired weld overlay capacity, installed a complete CNC swivel testing facility, and built a multi functional assembly and test hall. At present Brück is able to manipulate swivel stacks in various types and material grades. We handle precision as well as general engineering and we have found project partners who join our efforts on a mutual-interest basis.
